While most fraternal organizations are shrinking in membership, Hastings Elks Lodge is growing.  More and more people are discovering that we are a fun group of people who also provide many valuable services to our community and to the nation.  Find out more, and see if you, too, would like to become a part of us!

Community Service Activities Elks Lodge Functions Country Club
The Hastings Elks Lodge #159 is an active contributor to our community.  Our special emphasis is on helping Veterans and youth.  Some of the services we perform are:
  • Collecting deer hides to make gloves and tool leather for our American Veterans
  • Purchase and deliver Christmas presents to needy youth in our area
  • Help with the annual Memorial Day celebration at Parkview Cemetery
  • Prepare and serve dinners at the Grand Island Veterans Hospital
  • Select a "Student of the Month" from area schools and recognize them
  • Celebrate a "Youth Week" the first week of March
  • Provide the famous "Hoop Shoot" competition for area youth basketball players
  • Conduct a "Soccer Shoot" competition for our local soccer players
  • Perform a moving "Flag Day" celebration to honor our nation's history
  • Provide scholarships to area youth

The Hastings Elks Lodge members also like to have fun.  Our Lodge provides a unique atmosphere for fellowship and fun.  Some of our events are:
  • Mardi Gras adult party on March 7.  Great food, music and dancing
  • Mothers Day Brunch.  All you can eat, and then some!
  • 4th of July family picnic with food and games for all ages
  • Halloween adult costume party with food, music and dancing.  Best costume contest
  • Lodge Christmas party with unique gift exchange for men and women
  • New Years Eve celebration with food, music, and dancing
  • New Years Day "Tom & Jerrys" served free from noon to 2 pm
  • Valentines Day dance with romantic dining and a dance
  • Friday night 4-Point Pitch tournaments every Friday night except during golf season
  • Full food menu on Friday nights
  • Family Night food specials every Wednesday night

We are thankful to also have the newest 18 holes of golf available in the Hastings area.  Our back 9 was opened April 2, 2008.  Some highlights are:
  • Open to the public, with memberships and cart storage available
  • Par 72 golf course
  • Rental carts available
  • Numerous golf tournaments open to the public through-out the golf season
  • Several "Members Only" tournaments that are not open to the public
  • Mixed league on Monday Nights-members only
  • Ladies' day on Tuesdays
  • Seniors tournament on Wednesdays

  • Friday Night Flags on Fridays
  • Golf lessons for ladies
